Well, it's Friday and I made it through an entire week of subbing in a math class. Considering I have not had math in about four years, I don't think I did too bad. As I was helping some of the students, the problems, steps, and formulas began to become familiar again. The students, for the most part, were pretty well behaved. Sometimes though, I wonder what is happening to this generation. They think that they are invincible, know everything, and are the coolest thing since sliced bread. Some of the things they say in class, I could never imagine saying when I was in school (and that wasn't even that long ago!). It makes you wonder, when do these attitudes begin to develop?!?!? Speaking of work, as of now it looks like I am not subbing anywhere next week. Although I can always use the money, I think after subbing every day for almost two months straight, it's about time I take a little break. I may be working Friday though or if I get called in because of a teacher calling off last minute. We will see!! The good thing about not working next week is that I can catch up on some applications and also Nick has off too! So, I am hoping to plan some fun (and inexpensive) things to do while we both have some free time!...I can't wait to spend the week with him!!
Tonight should be pretty eventful. A few of us are heading to Station Square, I just hope I can make it past 9:00. Getting up early six days a week (one day because of the part-time job) can really get to you! I am sure there will be pictures from tonight that I can post at a later time. Well, home room is just about over, so the teaching day begins...wish me luck!
