St. Patrick's Day

Well, once again, here I am subbing at the old high school. This time I am in the science classroom and I have chemistry classes just about all day. Out of all the subjects/classes I have ever taken, chemistry is probably my worst. I CAN NOT remember a single thing! I remember some of the elements and stuff...but that's about it! I do remember what H2O is LOL!

Today is St. Patrick's Day. Although it is supposed to be in honor of a Patron Saint, somehow it has turned into a major drinking holiday. What I find funny is the idea that everyone participates in the holiday and wears green, even if they aren't the slightest bit Irish! When I went down town this past weekend, I thought what would happen if I wore an Italian shirt. I mean I have a little Irish in me, but 75% of me is Italian. If they can celebrate their heritage, I thought, why can't I celebrate mine? What would people think if I walked the streets in that shirt! It was kind of neat though to see the "sea of green" walking the streets in Pittsburgh. I love this city, we take the smallest things and make them into HUGE events...it makes it fun living here!

Speaking of the city...I saw the best shirt this weekend at the mall. It said Pittsburgh Girls...making Cleveland girls ugly since 1974. It was great! I have heard some pretty interesting puns towards the Browns...but that one may have been one of the best EVER!

Well, I best be getting back to subbing. I am off from subbing tomorrow but work my other job. I recently got hired at a tutoring center in Robinson. I am working with students of all ages in certain aspects of reading, writing, and vocabulary. I can also train to help teach SAT prep courses...not sure about that one yet. I figured by taking this job, it would help with experience and become a resume builder. Although it's tough working three jobs (well two 1/2 technically) it will help out financially. I love keeping busy...and my life has finally become busy again!
